Weatherproof adhesive

1. It is suitable for all kinds of curtain wall weatherproof seal, especially recommended for glass curtain wall, aluminum plastic panel curtain wall, stone dry hanging weatherproof seal.

2. Joint sealing among metal, glass, aluminum, ceramic tile, plexiglass and coated glass.

3. Joint sealing of concrete, cement, masonry, rock, marble, steel, wood, anodized aluminum and painted aluminum surfaces. Primer is not required in most cases.

Structural adhesive

1. It is mainly used for structural or non structural adhesive assembly between metal and glass of glass curtain wall.

2. It can directly connect the glass and the metal component surface to form a single assembly component, which can meet the curtain wall design requirements of full hidden or semi hidden frame.

3. Structural bonding and sealing of insulating glass

二、 Place of action

Weatherproof sealant is mainly used for sealing and sealing between materials, and waterproof sealing of joints; while structural sealant is mainly used for bonding of structural and non structural assembly of various curtain walls, with different functions.

三、 Bond properties

1. Weatherproof sealant can also be said to be a general-purpose adhesive, mainly with UV resistance, acid rain, snow and other extreme weather. The displacement ability of weatherproof adhesive (which can be explained by elasticity) is higher than that of structural adhesive.

2. In addition to the characteristics of weatherproof sealant, silicone structural sealant also has stronger bonding performance than weather resistant sealant, mainly in tear strength, fracture elongation, tensile strength is relatively strong, tensile strength is mainly used in the place of pre stress. The modulus, hardness, strength and price of structural adhesive are higher than those of weatherproof sealant of the same grade.

Conclusion: the weather resistance of structural adhesive is as good or even better as that of weatherproof sealant, because the weather resistance of structural adhesive is related to safety. If the aging is fast, the consequences of glass falling off are very serious, so the current structural adhesive is basically silica gel (silicone adhesive), which will not age in the natural environment. Weather resistant adhesive does not involve safety, and the failure result is mainly water leakage and air leakage, so there are many kinds of materials of weather resistant adhesive, including polyurethane, polysulfide, acrylic acid, etc., but the weather resistance is still the best of silica gel.
